The Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder is a freeware open source utility that retrieves your Product Key (cd key) used to install Windows from your registry. It allows you to print or save your keys for safekeeping.
It works on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, Server 2003, Server 2008, Office XP, Office 2003, and Office 2007 family of products. It also has a community-updated configuration file that retrieves product keys for many other applications. Another feature is the ability to retrieve product keys from unbootable Windows installations.

"I wanted to get permission before I made this post. Remember the story and link to the girl who did the performance art piece for Martin Luther King, Jr's birthday? Well, in the words of the infamous Paul Harvey, "Now it's time for the REST of the story."
This is a story that's fun to tell, as it always gets the "Ahhhh"'s from the group. I've even seen tears. What's your reaction?
First, if you didn't do it before, go back and watch that video on Michelle's blog. Now you'll know the girl I'm talking about.
Michelle told the story of how she talked to the girl's mother recently, and her mother told this story which I'll re-tell to the best of my recollection. (This was at Educon at 10:00pm - or later - so you'll have to grant me some wiggle room here. )
It seems that when this girl was just four years old her mother found her outside in the yard, staring up at the sky. "What are you doing", her mother asked. "I'm just looking at God's painting.", she replied."
Please take 5 minutes out and watch this talented young lady.

This year’s conference begins with a pre-conference keynote the week of October 13, 2008. The following two weeks, October 20-24 and October 27-31, forty presentations will be posted online to the conference blog (this website) for participants to download and view. Live Events in the form of three “Fireside Chats” and a culminating “When Night Falls” event will be announced.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in both live events during the conference as well as asynchronous conversations. More information about podcast channels and conference web feeds is available!"

"This Mt. Vernon, Ohio teacher religion case just gets worse and worse. It has gotten so bad I am extremely surprised the lawyers for the school district even let this get to trial. If I were the school's lawyer in this case, I would settle no matter the price. I have blogged about this case before, and in that post you can hear the teacher try and defend himself (unsuccessfully). Anyway, now that testimony has begun the focus has shifted to the administration (the ones with the deep pockets). Here is what the superintendent had to say on the stand:"
