French students to be given open-source software
I think this is a great idea. I run Portable Apps on 2 of my flash drives. I can do word processing, run FireFox with my own bookmarks, do some photo editing, spreadsheet work, etc., without using any applications on the host computer. Free. No charge. All open source.
